Elyon is a leadership academy...

"Leadership is influence." Elyon students learn this early through a systematic programme that fine-tunes their social skills, enhances their self-confidence and develops their strength of character. Students are assisted to develop core values that form the very foundation of their lives and careers as well as prepare them to be men and women of great influence in the society.

Vision, creativity, pursuit of excellence

Visionary leadership, creativity and pursuit of excellence are emphasized early to Elyon students as they are trained to think outside the box, break new grounds and exceed their own high standards - to reach for new heights and put the society on the leading edge.

Servant leadership

As servant leaders, Elyon students are trained to look beyond themselves to meet the needs of the less priviledged in their communities. Each student is trained to be a caregiver, a help corps and a problem-solver. Even with their priviledged educational training, Elyon students see themselves primarily as servants selflessly serving their society with integrity of heart. Despite enjoying first class facilities, Elyon students learn the discipline of doing their own house chores as well as engaging in public works for the benefit of their immediate community. It is not unusual to see Elyon students helping to clear the drainage in a local community or volunteering at a local hospital.

International politics and diplomacy

Elyon’s students are trained to be citizens of the world with exposure to international politics and diplomacy.

Speech elocution

Speech elocution and platform etiquettes constitute a vital part of Elyon's leadership development programme. Each student learns how to speak confidently in public and influence others towards laudable goals.

Everyone a leader

The dominant feature of Elyon's leadership programme is that each student is helped by caring staffs to identify and develop the 'leader' in him/her at a pace that is consistent with his/her experiences and expectations.

Elyon is entrepreneurs’ laboratory

The dearth of entrepreneurs in Africa is a major concern to Elyon founders. They have therefore incorporated entrepreneurial skill development into the school’s curriculum. It is Eylon’s another first and a determination to prepare the students to play a major role in the economic development of their nations.

Freedom and value

An Elyon student arrives in the school clad in Elyon leisure wear and holding a handy Elyon travel bag containing only underwear and a few personal effects. No provisions, no clothes, no books, and no pocket money. Not even buckets or toiletries. No food of any kind. And to be sure, no mattresses, pillows or bed sheets. Its Elyon's way of removing every encumbrance on the student's way and of providing a level playing field for all. Each student is treated as a creation of value deserving the best of traditional Elyon privileges from the proprietors, staff and fellow students. Elyon management does not discriminate between students and vehemently resists any request for preferential treatments for certain students because of the real or perceived influence of their parents. Having being freed from such encumbrances as overloaded items and struggle for relevance and recognition, an Elyon student is able to focus on his or her primary goals of learning and leadership development.
