EVERYONE A LEADER

The dominant feature of Elyon's leadership programme is that each student is helped by caring staffs to identify and develop the 'leader' in him/her at a pace that is consistent with his/her experiences and expectations.

SPEECH ELOCUTION

Speech elocution and platform etiquettes constitute a vital part of Elyon's leadership development programme. Each student learns how to speak confidently in public and influence others towards laudable goals.

SPORTS

Sporting excellence is a hallmark of Elyon. There is a dedicated sporting area and a working agreement with Alake Sports Centre, Adesba Hotel (Swimming pool) and Abeokuta Sports Club, all in Abeokuta. Available sporting activities include Football, Chess, Scrabble, Swimming, Athletics, Basketball, Long Tennis and Table Tennis.

MORALS AND ETIQUETTES

Elyon students are trained to uphold high moral standards consistent with the school's Christian heritage. Training in societal etiquettes complements the emphasis on high moral values. To the end that Elyon students are well-groomed, even mannered and well-respected members of the society.

WELL-EQUIPPED FACILITIES

Elyon's facilities are well equipped for learning and teaching effectiveness. The technology laboratory, Science laboratories, Home-Economics laboratory and the school's library are some of the facilities Elyon is proud of.
Teaching at Elyon is hands-on and practical with a lot of emphasis placed on project assignments. Audio-Visual Aids are extensively employed by the teaching staffs to enhance students understanding and learning.

EXPERIENCED AND CARING STAFF

Elyon employs high caliber teachers with proven scholarship, experience and character. Elyon’s staffs pride themselves as being role models and sources of positive influence to the students. Each staff is provided the necessary tools and a good working environment to ensure he gives of his best to help the students achieve their academic goals.

Underlining the academic, moral and leadership development programmes at Elyon is a rich and healthy spiritual discipline. The spiritual experience offered at Elyon transforms the student's life and frees him to pursue his career and develop the leader in him. From personal devotion and disciplined bible study to rich fellowship meetings, a student finds peace, discovers the joy of moral discipline and develops character that is essential for a successful life.

Each student learns to integrate his spiritual life into real life situations - in the workplace, family and community - and learns to maintain balance in an unstable world.

RELATIONSHIPS

The communal life at Elyon provides the student the opportunity to relate with people from different backgrounds from his own. In the process, he learns peaceful cohabitation through accommodation of others views and opinions. The result is that Elyon students forge relationships and alliances that help in advancing their personal lives and careers as well as those of others.
